1. We went out this evening and did some shopping. Just enough to make me stop dead in my tracks at Target and yell "O.K., I'm just going to order EVERYTHING online and the HELL with the shipping charges."
2. The Tord Boontje stuff at Target is cool but I agree with my friend Kathleen, the store display stuff is way cooler than the stuff for sale...
3. I am very thankful for a lot of things this year, namely my boys and my family, but also for reconnecting with some old friends this year...
4. We were looking at some chess sets at the mall this evening and the sales guy came over and chatted to us about them. He suggested a set with glass pieces and we said no because it's for a kid. He asked how old and when we said seven he said "oh, we've got these scene-its over here, do you want to see them?". I naively thought it was something to do with chess so I eagerly agreed and followed him. It turned out to be some dvd game with cartoon characters...I said, "uh, no thanks." I'm not against stuff like that but I really didn't get how we got from chess to that...
5. I took my mom for her haircut today and it does look much better---got several inches cut off my hair too.
6. My parents were having plumbing problems, the plumbers came just before my Mom and I left. First, wouldn't you think plumbers would be aware of the whole plumber-butt stereotype? Second, it was a little scary leaving my Dad there with them but I guess it worked out o.k. and the bill was only $72---woo-hooooo!
7. Leo brought home something from school that said "I'm thankful for my parents because sometimes they are nice to me"........right back at you Leo.......
8. O.K., I've been putting it off, but I'm supposed to be making an apple pie for my Dad...better go do it. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
