So. I didn't go to Ian Hunter. It made me a bit sad but it was the right decision...just too much going on in and around me. The silver lining was that I gave the tickets to my beloved Annette and that made me happy...and I got some time to hang out with my friend Teri which is good for me as well.
Ernie and I got home, hunkered down, ordered Papa Del's and lazily watched tv. It was good for us. I went to bed early and enjoyed getting periodic pictures and songs from Annette. God I love her.
As I laid there, reading a pretty wretched book that I'd gotten free from iBooks (you get what you pay for), I heard the ding of a new email. Here it is, straight from downstairs:
So...... Hello there mom..... So.... We were talking earlier, and I suggested that maybe we move your tv into my room. (And this might be temporary or for specific amount of time) and I personally think it might be a good idea considering you guys might want to the tv downstairs SO Like I said earlier that it might be a good idea to do so... (Move the tv into my room) now I have the iPad so I would'nt watch tv and I would just play games sometimes..... Now Leo has a computer and some people might say that it's unfair for him to have a computer, BUT I think that since he is 14 he older so he has the right to have it...BUT if I had a tv then I wouldn't complain and also I kinda want to start being more comfortable in my room and I think spending time in there would be nice... So to get to the point, I want the other tv in my room with the PS3 that's about it..... LOVE YOU -Owen Bl.
You gotta give the boy an A for effort. He's been campaigning for some time to move the tv in our bedroom into his room. We hardly ever watch it in there so he feels like it's totally reasonable. This was a particularly effective effort....putting in a little guilt for not getting him a computer but then nobly saying that was o.k.... The boy is GOOD.
I kinda love reading the middle school announcements every day. This was a particularly good one. Note what I have highlighted in red. Why didn't WE think of this in 2000?
