Yesterday my sole accomplishment was going to the hardware store and getting some weatherstripping for our front door. Yup, that's it. Oh, and I did make some kind of post Thanksgiving hash with dropped eggs for dinner, but that's pretty much it. I spent a good chunk of time looking at recipes for the Christmas party with Fats and Kristi Rose while listening to Jimmie Dale Gilmore. Not a bad way to spend some time I might add.
My favorite moment in the day however, was when Ernie and Leo and I walked into the hardware store on Springfield (Lord but it was ab out a thousand times more pleasant than going to North Prospect) and I commented to my shivering son, "You know Leo, we've got to get you a heavier jacket for walking home from school." He said, "Well, I probably shouldn't be walking when it's 0 degrees." I shrugged and said, "Well, I did." He probably rolled his eyes but I was in front of him so I couldn't see, I just heard him say, "Well, it's not like it was in the 70's Mom."
I giggled all the way to the weatherstripping aisle.
And to cheer us up on this rainy day....another shot of Rascal....
