Overheard in my house yesterday: "I've been having a lot of existential crises lately." All I could think was, "you and me both baby, you and me both." Not a wonderful week and I didn't sleep last night for worrying, which of course is so productive. Geesh. But Wild Ponies, Doug and Telisha Willams, will be here tonight and they will shoo the winter blues away. YES! I've got chicken legs marinating in Indian spices and yoghurt, a vegetable curry in the refrigerator, and Ernie's going to make the rice for the lemon rice in a bit.
House concert shopping for $62 at Aldi's. I may have to start going there. I hadn't been to one in ages and this one was quite pleasant....and cheap! In the past I remember bad lighting and questionable vegetables but everything we got was lovely. We'll see how it all turns out.
I hadn't gone shopping with my husband in a long time either. I was having a super bad back day so I kind of hobbled alongside and muttered a lot, but it was nice. I love doing everyday things with him. Oh, and then we saw his oncologist, whom we adore. I'm sure they're all good at Carle Cancer Center, but if you're looking for one, we would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Vasireddy. As I told him yesterday, we really want him to be our doctor for everything. They boys need a school physical? Go see the oncologist. I get the flu? Go see the oncologist. He just laughed at me. Ernie's PSA went up just a hair but Dr. Vasireddy did such a good job proactively telling me that's just fine, that it was, well, fine. And it was just an infinitesimal increase and it's been up to that before and then back down.
Now, on to house concert prep. This is going to be a fun one.
