Our old uninsulated house is not the toastiest in this weather. The media room, in particular, is freezing, as it's an old porch with three exterior walls and an uninsulated crawl space. Normally the media room is Annie's domain. She became pretty resistant to leaving that room so we eventually moved her litterbox and her food in there, and when Heather and Steve gave her own little heated pod, it went in there as well. With all the weight she's lost, and this cold though, she's been hanging out on the heater vent under the victrola in the dining room. Eventually we brought her little pod and her food and water over there and she seems pretty happy. Normally she scuttles nervously in the living and dining room (unless it's a house concert) but she seems to have claimed it, and the other cats are leaving her alone. She's eating the new food we've gotten her pretty well too. The other cats, particularly Rascal, are dying with jealousy. He usually manages to get her leftovers...hopefully we'll keep that to a minimum, but he's damn tricky.
Snow is coming down and, of course, it makes me happy. Ernie and Owen are off in Cyril to do some shopping and then I might take Ernie out to lunch. Leo is doing Leo things on his computer. Oh, by the way, he has a new Christmas update on his site that talks about the year. He also has started mixing music----I am so proud of him. Below is his end of 2017 mix. Damn I love that boy SO much.
Speaking of year end mixes, if you didn't see this on my Facebook page, here is a look back at our year too. There are always lots of ups and downs, but looking back makes me realize how many good things there were. Thanks to all that were part of it.
